Privacy policy

Discretion is central to how we trade. This is exactly what we collect, why we hold it, and what we will never do with it.

Our approach to privacy

Heritage Trading Co works with private sellers, estates, collectors, and trade professionals who expect discretion as a condition of doing business. We collect the minimum information needed to evaluate a piece, complete a transaction, and meet our legal obligations — nothing more.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you provide when requesting a valuation, joining the weekly list, or applying for trade access
  • Details and images of items you submit for evaluation, including any documentation or certificates
  • Identity and title verification records where a transaction requires them by law
  • Business information supplied by trade applicants, such as company name and resale credentials
  • Basic technical and usage data from your visit to this site

How we use it

Information is used to respond to your inquiry, prepare and discuss an offer, arrange private appointments, distribute the weekly inventory list to those who request it, verify trade eligibility, and satisfy record-keeping requirements that apply to precious-metals and high-value transactions.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not publish estate inquiries, name clients, or reference identifiable transactions in marketing. Items offered to us privately are never listed publicly as a result of that inquiry.

Who we share it with

Information is shared only where a transaction requires it — for example with a gemological laboratory performing grading, an insured shipping or vaulting provider, a payment institution, or a professional advisor you have asked us to coordinate with. Each receives only what is necessary for that specific purpose. We also disclose information where the law requires it.

Estates, trustees, and advisors

Where we act for an executor, trustee, or advisor, we correspond only with the parties you nominate in writing and keep documentation in a form suitable for an estate file.

Retention

Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable precious-metals, tax, and anti-money-laundering rules. Inquiries that do not lead to a transaction are removed on request. You can ask to be taken off the weekly list at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not legally required to keep it. Write to us and we will action it.

Cookies and analytics
